Isabella Rocchietta is a Specialist in Periodontology. She graduated in dentistry at the University of Milan, Italy. She was then awarded a scholarship from the department of Medicine, University of Milan, to train as a clinical and research fellow at the Department of Periodontology, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA. Awarded an MSc with merit in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry from theUniversity of Manchester.

She has been currently appointed Honorary Senior Research Associate, department of Periodontics, Eastman Dental Institute, UCL. Lecturer for the diploma in implant dentistry at The Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, London as well as being affiliated with the Department of Biomaterials, Institute for Clinical Sciences, The Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where she conducts clincal research in the field of implantology and bone regeneration.

From 2002 to 2011 she has been instructor at the Department of Periodontology, University of Milan, Italy and research consultant for the Institute for Dental Research and Education (IDRE).

Currently elected member of the board of directors of the EAO (European Association for Osseointegration) and Chairman of the EAO Junior Committee from 2007 to 2011. She is co-editor of the European Academy for Osseointegration journal, Inspyred, and reviewer for the main scientific journals. Author of several international peer reviewed publications and book chapters and International speaker on bone regeneration, bone grafting with growth factors, tissue engineering, soft and hard tissue neo-formation with autogenous living cells, osseointegration and implant protocols.

Dr. Isabella Rocchietta currently performs clinical work limited to periodontics and Implant dentistry in London, U.K.

Professor M. Quirynen graduated in 1980 as dentist and finished in 1984 his training in periodontology at the department of Periodontology (both Catholic University Leuven).  In 1986 he presented his PhD.  In 1990 he was appointed professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Leuven to teach periodontology and anatomy.  His research deals mainly with oral microbiology, oral malodour, simplification/optimization of periodontal therapy including implant surgery, benefits of L-PRF.  He published over 400 full papers in international peer-reviewed journals.  He is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology (associate editor), Clinical Oral implants Research, Journal of Dental Research.

 

 

Dr Marcus Dagnelid

Dr Marcus Dagnelid

Dr Marcus Dagnelid received his dental degree in 2003 from the faculty of Odontology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He subsequently started working in his private clinic with focus on prosthetic treatment and implantology.

The team at the clinic has worked for many years in close collaboration with implants companies, with a high focus on surgical- and prosthetic protocols. In the field of guided surgery, the team is considered opinion leaders being responsible for the development of Nobel Guide concept. Marcus has been a Procera Software specialist since 2005, Simplant Pro user since 2007 and has given numerous lectures both nationally and internationally on the subject guided surgery. He continuously helps dentists with guided surgery clinical issues. Marcus has also worked closely together with Biomet3i on product testing and development as well as research in the past. Since more than 8 years he has worked in very close collaboration together with Dentsply Implants, Astra Tech Implant System. This includes in particular product testing- and development such as Atlantis Abutment System, Profile Implants, Facilitate Guided Surgery, New Generation ASTRA TECH Implant System EV and corresponding projects (Immediate Smile), Azento as well as national- and international lecturing.

Marcus is also the CEO and owner of Dagnelid Clinic and Falkenberg Clinic with a state-of-the-art conference and education centre called SAACD, Swedish Academy For Advanced Clinical Dentistry. The clinics hosts more than 3000 square metres of dentistry with in house dental laboratory of 7 dental technicians. The goal for SAACD is to create a unique platform for interactive dental education in all fields of dentistry. Within the topic of financial development and clinic building, he also lectures in how to gain success by marketing, brand building and entrepreneurship.

The main interest in implantology and prosthetic work has also led to Marcus lecturing in the all-ceramic field, with focus on high end aesthetics. He is a certified international CEREC Trainer as well as E4D trainer in the past. In 2010 he received his postgraduate degree as a specialist in prosthetic dentistry at the faculty of Odontology, Malmö University. Dr Dagnelid also lectures within Digital Smile Design.
